Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
You don’t have to stay the same. Evolution is not rejection — it’s an honoring of who you’ve been and who you’re becoming. In today’s EMBR Mornings reflection, Kimberly shares why growth isn’t betrayal but evidence that you’re alive.
Looking back at old versions of ourselves can stir up regret, but what if we chose gratitude instead? Every past version planted seeds that brought you here. Today’s invitation is to release shame around your shift and embrace the permission to grow.
EMBR Mornings is a daily soul-centered reflection to help women return to who they truly are — grounded, beloved, and on purpose. Each morning is a pause to sip your coffee, breathe deeply, and remember the ember within you. Rooted in faith and anchored in intention, EMBR Mornings is created to help women rise not with hustle, but with wholeness.

You are allowed to evolve. Welcome to Ember Mornings Coffee in Hand. Breathe this in. You do not have to stay the same. You do not have to stay who you used to be. I was looking through old photos to find a good one for a post, and it made me think about who I used to be. I recognized the smile, but I saw. The me behind it, the past version of me, the one who said yes to everything, when I wanted to say no. The one who stayed in the familiar because it felt safe and I was scared of the unknown. The one who was always busy and rarely still, but really not even moving anywhere important. I didn't roll my eyes at her. I didn't wish that that version of me was different. I am grateful for her because she did the best that she knew how. She kept showing up. She planted the seeds she never got to see bloom. The seeds that are just now breaking through the soil. And she brought me here to this version of me, to the version of me that knows that evolving isn't a rejection of who I was. It's an honoring of who I have been and who I'm becoming. Growth is not betrayal. You are allowed to evolve. What part of your identity are you ready to update? There's no shame in your shift. Only evidence that you're alive. Until tomorrow let's EMBR the day ahead with permission to grow.
